For Charity – Mothers giving back

Yes, if Idols can give back, so can Mothers.

I’ve made a total of RM 190 so far from the sale of my son’s shirts; shirts which I would have given away sooner or later. So, why not give the proceeds to some mothers who need the money more than I do. May not be much, but it’s a start.

What I have learned from this experience is more valuable:-

1) I spent a fun afternoon with my son.

2) I have learned to set up a blog shop and experience the thrill of e-commerce.

3) I got my 2 min of fame in Malay Mail.

4) I’ve connected with some wonderful young people who bought my shirts, who are polite, helpful and encouraging with their comments.

Where did you get it?

“Bought it in 1 Utama a few years back.”

Why are you selling it?

“Although the size shows 'M', the shirt is EXTREMELY body hugging. Body not nice enough to wear it.”

Anything I should know of?

Although the shirt is body hugging, the material is stretchy and comfortable.
I wouldn't recommend this shirt unless you have a very nice slim body. I know mine isn't.

“The Vest is as good as new! Worn once or twice on top of my shirts during my summer in Glasgow.”

Where did you get it?

“Topman, Glasgow.”

Why are you selling it?

“I initially used it as an extra layer for my shirts. It's too warm for me now.”

Anything I should know of?

It's quite baggy.
Soft cottonish feel. Not you're standard type of formal vest.
Bruce Lee Tee is not included.

“The sleeves and base have been altered coz it was too long. Otherwise the shirt's condition is okay."

Where did you get it?

“My brother bought this shirt in US about 9 years ago.”

Why are you selling it?

“Well, for one the shirt is 9 years old and seldom worn. Time for it to go.”

Anything I should know of?

I didn't know the sleeves were altered until I made this blog post!

The shirt still feels a little bit long.

Where did you get it?

“I bought it from Burton in Glasgow. I needed a red shirt for a Chinese New Year party because I didn't bring my Tradtional Chinese Costume over to UK.”

Why are you selling it?

“I'm not to fond of pink/reddish shirts. I only bought it for Chinese New Year and a few odd occasions.”

Anything I should know of?

Burton is the male counterpart of Dorothy Perkins.
It crumples easily after washing. Quite hard to iron.

“A friend gave it to my brother, we often share clothes. (hope he doesn't see this blog!)”

Why are you selling it?

“It's too big. If you are a lover of M sized Topman shirts it should fit you just nice.”

Anything I should know of?

I rolled up the sleeve one notch in the picture coz the sleeve was a bit long for me.
You probably wouldn't find this shirt in Topman stores anymore as it's ancient but nevertheless unworn.
My brother often tosses unwanted clothes to me.

Their site is the first ever online fashion shopping directory in Malaysia and currently there are over 1000 e-shops listed there.
